Full Time First Year Welding Instructor Position Fall 2019
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Announces an opening for a full time, first year Welding instructor beginning August 2019. The instructor will teach Safety, Welding blueprint reading, Oxy-fuel Welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Tungsten Arc Welding, and other related processes.
Preferred requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a Welding related field or in Technical Education, and at least 5 years of professional experience in the welding industry. Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree with at least five years of welding experience and completion of a Bachelor's Degree within five years contingent upon hiring. The successful candidate must be American Welding Society certified (AWS). Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Certified Welding Educator (CWE) and/or willing to test for CWI and CWE within one year is preferred.
Monday through Friday twenty-two hours a week and a minimum of three office hours per week must be maintained for availability for students. Other duties and responsibilities are defined in the Faculty Association Contract.
Salary and rank for the position are determined on the basis of academic qualifications and experience as projected on the Faculty Association Contract. Application materials must include a cover letter, a current resume, and academic transcripts.
